Tag!

I kind of love these Tag games going around the blogosphere because I always learn new fun things about the lovely ladies behind the blogs I love to read.  Allyssa at Breakfast at the Zemkes tagged me recently.  While reading the answers she wrote on her blog, I realized we both share a huge passion for Audrey Hepburn; love it! Definitely check out her DIY projects when you check out her blog (especially this magnet idea).

Here are my answers to the questions posed:

 1. Are you a coffee or a tea drinker?

Coffee.  I cannot imagine starting my day any other way.

2. What is your favorite room in your home?

In my current apartment, I guess it would be my kitchen since I love to bake so much.  But in my new apartment (five days and counting), I am excited for the family room I will share with my new roomie.

3. What is your favorite quote?

This quote always reminds me to be open-minded, kind and genuine with everyone I meet.

4. What is your favorite pastime?

My favorite thing to do outside of work is read.  I probably spend 10-12 hours a day looking at a computer, so I love the change of pace.  And books can take you anywhere!

 5. Who is the person you admire the most?

Definitely my mom.  She inspires me every single day, and has the most amazing go-getter spirit.  I am so grateful to have a mama like her.

6. Where is your favorite place to go on holidays?

My family went to Cayucos almost every summer growing up, so visiting this small beach town makes my heart nostalgic and happy. But I haven't been to Europe yet, so I may have to keep you posted.

7. What is your favorite food?

Avocado.  I hope I can have an avocado tree someday.  These babies just taste so good with everything!  (They're actually one of the things I gave up for Lent.)

8. How do you recharge and re-energize yourself?

 A trip to the gym really helps me recharge and keep my energy up.  I'm working on going on a more regular basis, and am lucky to have a few friends (like Jo), who inspire me to lead a fit, healthy lifestyle.

9. What is your favorite song?

I could never pick! But some of my favorites include Should've Been A Cowboy by Toby Keith, Always Love by Nada Surf (I included their song lyrics in my finial piece for my high school newspaper ha), and most recently this from The Civil Wars. 

10. Do you prefer dogs or cats?

I had both growing up, and have a soft spot for both kinds of furry babies.  However, I would probably choose cats, only because I am obsessed with teeny kittens.  My family fostered kittens for nearly five years (fattening them up for adoption), and I also think lolcats are an awesome pick-me-up.

11. Who is someone you would like to meet?

 Oprah.  Enough said.
